Research Reports 19th June 2007
 
During early 2007, three pieces of research were commissioned by and carried out for the Mid and West Essex Investing in Communities Partnership. Two of the pieces of research; “The Significance of Migrant Workers in the Mid and West Essex Labour Force” and “Skills Improvement in Braintree and Maldon District” were specific to Mid and West Essex. The report on “Disabled People and the Workforce” applies to the whole of Essex.

The three research reports were presented at a dissemination event held at Anglia Ruskin University on 19th June 2007. The findings of the research will be used to develop future activity for the Mid and West programme and in the case of Disabled People and the Workforce also for the Haven Gateway and Thames Gateway partnerships who shared the research costs.

IiC Pre Summit Consultation Event, Waterfront Place, Wednesday 4th October 2006

A consultation event attended by 75 stakeholders was held on 4th October 2006. At the event, workshops covering 8 themes were run and delegates were given an opportunity to attend 2. Each workshop ran twice and was facilitated by the same facilitator for continuity. The themes of the workshop were designed to accord with the Mid and West Essex evidence base and the needs it identifies in the sub region.
