We want a competitive economy which is an international leader rather than a follower.
To ensure the economy stays competitive and the number of high value jobs increases, it is recommended that inward investment, business retention & expansion and helping companies to trade internationally should be the focus of the Essex Invest team and the delivery partnership. Opportunities around tourism and promoting Essex should be considered alongside this.
A Task & Finish Group has been set up to drive forward and develop this priority. The group is committed to making a real difference in Essex.
