Praxis Network Manager meets Bulgarian Ambassador to London

Last week a delegation representing the Regional Government of Ruse and the Municipality of Dobrich in Bulgaria visited Essex to identify opportunities for collaboration with Essex County Council and the Praxis Network, managed by the Essex Development and Regeneration Agency (ExDRA).
As part of the trip the Bulgarian Ambassador to London, Dr Lachezar Matev, hosted a reception at the Bulgarian Embassy. Through the Praxis Network a number of projects are being developed between Essex, Bulgaria and other countries in the enlarged European Union.
In December EU funding is paying for Essex experts to visit Bulgaria and share knowledge about renewable energy and agriculture. Bulgaria and Essex both have considerable potential to grow alternative crops that can help in the fight against Climate Change.
Other areas of interest were identified during the visit, such as managing business support in the field of innovation and accessing EU Funds generally. These are key areas of expertise for ExDRA and offer the potential to develop new projects and activities for mutual benefit in the coming months.
