Have your say on the future of sport in Essex

Date: 30 May 2006

If you’ve ever wanted to influence the future of sports provision in Essex, then now’s your chance.

sportessex, the Essex, Southend and Thurrock County Sports Partnership, is the new body charged with working with a network of committed agencies and partners to implement a single system of sports delivery across the County. During June and July the partnership wants to hear from anyone with an interest in sport at one of their forthcoming “A Question of Sports Partnership” roadshows.

So, if you want to share your views on what the priorities for sport in Essex should be; where there is a lack of provision or how sport could be made more accessible, then come along to one of the roadshows during June and July.

The evenings will be fun and informative and each roadshow will be attended by a mystery guest. Angela Littlewood, Director of sportessex, is looking forward to the events. “It is critical that we get the views of local people when developing a way forward for sports provision in Essex. The roadshows are a central part of this and I am looking forward to meeting the people of Essex and hearing from them at first hand what sporting opportunities and challenges are important to them.”

Anyone is welcome to attend the roadshows, but pre booking is preferred. To book a place telephone sportessex on 01245 702495 or 702496 or alternatively email rebecca.wills@exdra.co.uk
