Agency announces new Board appointments

Two experienced and talented individuals have been appointed as new Board members of the Essex Development & Regeneration Agency (ExDRA).
George Kieffer and Mervyn Rogers have joined the Board of ExDRA, bringing with them a wealth of business experience that will prove invaluable as the Agency continues with its range of activities to support the economic development of Essex.
George Kieffer, deputy chair of the East of England Development Agency (EEDA), is currently a company director and self-employed management consultant in defence, aerospace and leisure industries. George is Chair of EEDA's Resources Committee and member of EEDA's Remuneration & Selection Committee. He is also a member of East of England Regional Planning Panel.
Mervyn Rogers is a Programme Director at IBM Global Business Services, specialising in growing the consulting and system integration business with the UK Ministry of Defence. Mervyn has a wealth of other business experience that includes being a Board member of the Southend Chamber of Commerce.
Theo Steel, Projects Manager at One Railway and Chairman of ExDRA is delighted to have George Kieffer and Mervyn Rogers on board. “George and Mervyn bring with them a wealth of business knowledge that will be invaluable as ExDRA develops over the coming years. The Agency is already delivering a range of activity on behalf of the East of England and having the Deputy Chairman of EEDA alongside us will provide a key link between Essex and the region. I am looking forward to working with both George and Mervyn in the coming months.”
George Kieffer and Mervyn Rogers join other Board members: Cllr Roger Walters (Essex County Council, Deputy Cabinet Member for Planning, Environment and Culture ); Cllr Robert Davidson (Leader of Colchester Borough Council) and Michael Large (Vice Chairman of the Essex Institute of Directors).
