Our Activity
During 2008/2009 ExDRA’s will focus its work around the following themes to deliver our corporate priorities:
Business Competitiveness
- Continue with the development of the Essex Innovation Network and the management of the Essex Technology and Innovation Centre at Ongar
- Management of the Essex Enterprise Centres at Braintree, Basildon, Clacton and Harwich
- Delivery of the Towards 2010 skills programme within the East of England
Inward Investment
- Develop and assist in the implementation of a new inward investment strategy for Essex
- Engaging with partners to attract inward investors and maximise job opportunities across Essex
Community & Skills Development
- Managing the European Social Fund for Essex
- Delivering the Investing in Communities Programme on behalf of Mid and West Essex
International Opportunities
- Development of trade links between Essex and the East of England with our international partners, including India and Europe
Partnership Development
- Facilitate and contribute to the Greater Essex Prosperity Forum and its constituent parts, including the Essex Business Consortium and Local Government Consortium.
