How we work
ExDRA works at a variety of levels to make a difference to the sustainable economic, social and cultural development of Essex.
At a strategic level, ExDRA seeks to influence local, regional and national policy to ensure that the benefits for Essex are maximised. Much of this work is carried out through the Greater Essex Prosperity Forum (and its constituent parts), which ExDRA manages and is a member of.
At an operational and delivery level, ExDRA identifies opportunities and delivers a wide range of projects and programmes that contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of the County.
ExDRA is currently managing a number of specific programmes. Some of these programmes are ongoing, for example the promotion of Essex as a visitor destination, whilst others are time limited, for example the European Social Fund.
As new opportunities arise, ExDRA will assess how it can make a valid contribution. This may be through hosting a county wide project, such as the County Sports Partnership, or leading on the development of new approaches to working on key areas of activity, such as the development of a new inward investment strategy for Essex.
ExDRA has been established as a forward thinking, professional and flexible organisation that is ready to respond to new opportunities to help deliver a more prosperous future for Essex and we look forward to working with our partners to make a real difference in Essex.
